One of the most rewarding types of scrapbook is one that you intent to give away as a gift. They make such personal and memorable gifts and you can make them for just about any occasion. You will find that the handmade and unique touches you add will show the person how much you truly care. You will find there are some people who will receive your gift and they may become inspired to create their own scrapbook and which is a perfect way to share your interest in scrapbooking with friends and family.
There are many different types of scrapbooks that you can give someone and there are many different themes you can use as well. One of my favorite types of themes makes a good gift for a graduate or someone moving away – using pictures from throughout the years of the person and end with a recent picture and some blank pages so the album can be continued. Pages that are made in continuation will also make good future gifts as well as they add to their scrapbook. This is also a good idea for couples celebrating weddings or anniversaries. Instead of just having a traditional wedding album, include pictures of both people from before they met and then create pages of their life together.
Remember, never scrapbook using a person’s original photographs; instead, make high-quality color copies at your local photocopy center. Be careful with the photos and replace the photographs exactly as you found them.
For those who do not have the access to photographs and would like to give a scrapbook as a gift to someone who likes to do the scrapbooking, you can always give them a kit or plan a layout for them. One of my favorites is creating a mini album from envelopes or paper bags adding various embellishments and allows the person to add their own photos. The mini album can be a theme album or used with theme papers and embellishments. Add something personal that you and the person shared or something that the person loves.
With the use of your imagination and a bit of creativity, you will be able to create a beautiful, memorable and one of a kind scrapbook to be cherished for years to come.
